A practice
has names.

The person who signs the page is the person you can call. Below are the partners — in full — and how to reach each of them.

04From the Managing Partner
A new chapter
“A new chapter.
The same hand.”

— Leslie L. Letsogile · ACMA · CGMA · ACPA · Founder

The practice you have known is now Stones. The partners are the same. The files are the same. The work continues as before.

The new name describes what we have always tried to be: solid figures, sound counsel — set down where they can be read again. Inside the next ninety days, our letterheads, email addresses and signatures will move across. Your engagement letters do not change.

A signed copy of our manual will reach you with the next quarterly note. If you have a question that is not in the FAQ enclosed, my direct line is below.

Leslie Lesego Letsogile

Founder & Managing Partner · ACMA · CGMA · ACPA

Dual-qualified with CIMA (ACMA · CGMA) and BICA (ACPA) — one of a handful in Botswana to hold both. Twelve years of senior finance leadership across FMCG, petroleum and corporate finance, with live mandates from private debt raises to transactions bound for the Botswana Stock Exchange. Personally reviews every engagement: at this practice, integrity on the page is not delegated.

Laurreine Makeda Makgosa

Accounting & Tax · BA (Hons) Business Management

BA (Hons) Business Management — Sheffield Hallam via the Botswana Accountancy College. Cut her teeth inside the Ministry of Minerals & Energy accounts unit, where reconciliations balanced and monthly reports closed on the date they were due. Brings public-sector discipline to the private ledger — clean books, defended line by line, and the file your auditor opens without a query.

Plate 06 · A.E.K.

Abaleng Ethel Koogotsitse

Advisory · BBA International Business (UB)

BBA International Business at the University of Botswana, with a global consulting project under X-Culture and marketing & partnership work at Olive Medical Centre. Reads the market before the memo, and the room before the recommendation. Brings cross-cultural research, partner-side instincts and a habit of asking the inconvenient question early — so the advice that follows can be defended in any board room.

Plate 07 · P.M.P.

Pako Moanamisi Poitshego

Operations · Principal, The Secretary

BBA Logistics & Supply Chain, University of Botswana. Runs the practice's operations desk — client files, partner schedules, statutory deadlines — with the precision of a tracked supply chain. Also principal of The Secretary, our sister practice, where every CIPA filing closes on the day it is due. Nothing leaves his desk late, and nothing leaves his desk unchecked.

Plate 09 · D.L.M.

Desire Larona Machinya

IT Partner · BSc (First Class Hons) Computer Systems Engineering

First Class BSc (Hons) Computer Systems Engineering — University of Sunderland; Best Overall Student, Class of 2025. Hands-on public-sector experience at the Department of Shared Digital Services in Francistown, where he led the wired-to-wireless rollout at the District Commissioner's offices. Brings full-stack engineering, AI-driven systems and Cisco-stack cybersecurity (CCNA · Network Defence · Endpoint Security · Cyber Threat Management) to the practice. Every file we hold is encrypted, every channel we use defended, every system we run audited.

Tebogo Connie Lelathego

BCom Accounting · Botho University

Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting — Botho University (Class of 2025), with grounding in financial accounting, management accounting and taxation. From Maun. Trained on administrative record-keeping at Central Transport Communications, where the file was the system and the system was the file. Brings numeric accuracy, patience and a willingness to ask the second question — closes the loop on every ledger entry that crosses her desk.

07Technical Advisor
Corporate Finance · senior counsel
— Senior counsel

A second pair
of eyes.

The file every junior wants to write — the way the senior reads it.

Every deal that crosses the practice's desk is read by a senior whose career was built signing the page at scale. That review is not optional. It is the standard.

Plate 08 · K.L.
Technical Advisor — Corporate Finance

Kobamo Letsogile

MBA (Global) · Adv. Dip. Credit (CIB Scotland) · CIMA (Strategic, ongoing)

Twenty-five years in credit, corporate finance and investment leadership. Former Head of Credit Operations at First National Bank Botswana — chaired the Deal Conclusion Forum for all facilities above BWP 20 million, directed five departments (Legal Compliance, Retail, Collateral Management, Valuations and Environmental Risk), and was a regular sanctioning authority for corporate and real-estate facilities above BWP 30 million.

Investment Director at Stonehendge since 2022, leading deal quality assurance and corporate-finance structuring across the practice. MBA (Global) in Advanced Corporate Finance, M&A and Private Equity from the London School of Business & Finance; Advanced Diploma in Credit from the Chartered Institute of Bankers (Scotland).

Brings senior counsel and quality assurance to every deal that crosses our desk — the second pair of eyes the file requires before it leaves the building.
